Chiropractic Doesn’t Work… or does it?

bottom foot pain, foot pain symptoms, leg pain, knee pain, hip pain, Loveland CO holistic chiropractor, chiropractor gentle adjustment, chiropractor no cracking, Dr Debbie ThompsonChoosing your chiropractor.

It’s possible after careful research the chiropractor you find or their technique doesn’t work for you. Don’t give up. Keep looking & researching. Many times I hear people say they “tried chiropractic and it didn’t work”. Those same people expect their body’s old chronic pain pattern to turn around with 1 to 2 adjustments. Unrealistic expectations will lead you straight to failure with resolving your headaches, foot pain, ankle pain, hip pain, neck and shoulder pain, stiff neck,  sore muscles, back spasms, leg pain or any other chronic pain pattern.

Physiology needs time to respond.

Your physiology needs time to respond. Your physiology needs time to reverse a condition that’s been there for weeks and even years. The same physiology that responds to exercising 3 times each week responds to chiropractic the very same way. You wouldn’t expect to be totally physically fit with 1 to 2 trips to the gym would you? Of course not. That would be totally unrealistic and you know that.

Over 250 chiropractic techniques.

One to two chiropractic adjustments (no matter what technique) does not address a chronic pain condition that has been there for weeks or years. Remember how important it is to find the right chiropractor with the right technique for you? Your list of chiropractic resources to resolve your chronic pain starts with over 250+ different chiropractic techniques. For every technique there is a wide selection of chiropractors in your surrounding area doing many of these techniques. You have a large probability to resolve your chronic pain if you really want to. You can begin with a search of ‘chiropractor near me’, but do not limit your choices if you find someone a bit further away that offers exactly what you want and need. Your first chiropractic choice may not be your best final choice. Don’t give up. Keep looking until you find a chiropractor that meets your needs and wants. Give your body a chance to respond. If your body doesn’t have a gauge reading ‘low on pain-killer’ does it make sense to keep giving it pain killers? Your body’s best baseline is everything that supports its natural physiology. Chiropractic does that very well.

Your body LOVES chiropractic. When your nervous system energy flow is clear, strong & sending the correction information from your brain to every muscle, organ and gland in your body it’s amazing how your body starts to respond healthier & healthier everyday.

Brain needs to reconnect 100%.

Your body isn’t working 100% because your brain to body electrical signals are substandard. Chiropractic supports the normal function of your body. Chiropractic is an excellent choice to access your highest health and wellness. Your brain is like the power supply to your body. Every muscle, organ and gland needs the connection to your brain. Every muscle, organ and gland needs the normal electrical connection to your brain. Your body may be plugged into your brain and you feel your heart beating, but you may have a poor connection. You know what it’s like to have poor internet connection? It works, but it slow and there is very poor function. Chiropractic clears your nervous system path for high wellness. Chiropractic clears the abnormal signals from your brain to your body.

Initial commitment – 6 to 8 weeks.

In order to support a positive wellness change with your present physical condition commit to a minimum of 6-8 weeks of care. The normal healing process of human physiology has its ups and downs in the first few weeks. Look for a consistent ‘getting better and better’ overall. This would be a great time for your chiropractor to take the time to re-evaluate you and where you are to track your results. If there seems to be an unending series of adjustments without any progress or feedback about your goals you may want to re-evaluate your choice of chiropractors. Do not get lost in a series of adjustments that go on and on and on. Remember it’s always your choice. Is this working for you or not? If at anytime you are uncomfortable with your chiropractic care first communicate that to your doctor. If they don’t respond to your discomfort in a way that works for you then it may be time to start the process of finding a new chiropractor.

No one chiropractic technique is the best…they all work.

If the chiropractor you are interviewing claims to have the best and only technique or approach that works I would suggest you keep looking. Each chiropractor/technique works well with who it works well with. It’s most important that you find a chiropractor that is your perfect match.

Congratulations! You are an expert with choosing a chiropractor. Be sure to share these articles with a loved one or someone you know who is interested in addressing their chronic pain. Best Chiropractor: Steps to find the perfect one!

best chiropractor, Loveland CO holistic chiropractor, top foot pain, plantar fasciitis, neuropathy, chiropractor gentle adjustment, chiropractor no cracking, low back pain, hip painFinding your BEST CHIROPRACTOR!

Finding your very best chiropractor can be challenging. Let me give you some simple steps to help you make your best choice!

I was an active runner, biker and hiker one day and my active lifestyle disappeared the next.

Chiropractic was the last choice for me. I had tried lots of physical therapy, massage, ice packs, hot packs and much more. My intense low back pain, buttock pain, hip pain, leg pain, foot pain and numbness/tingling all the way into my right foot lasted for 9 months solid.

How did find my best chiropractor?

Begin with a free office consultation.

Your best chiropractor will give you a Free Consultation. Meeting a chiropractor with no obligation is extremely valuable. Choosing someone you feel comfortable with will make a significant difference in your progress. Choose wisely.

The key words of the free consultation I want you to hear is NO OBLIGATION.

Notice if your no obligation free consultation goes into a heavy marketing campaign. Goal? Their focus is scheduling you for appointments for multiple months or an entire year.

My thoughts? Give me a bit of time to see what I’m investing in.

Pay attention.

Are they listening to you? Your best chiropractor will listen very intently.

Are they listening to your specific concerns with true interest? Your best chiropractor will.

Yes, listening is a basic skill. Is this chiropractor more focused on what’s next rather than your specific concerns?

Do you feel comfortable? Can you imagine yourself being well taken care of by this doctor? Does the location and hours work for you?

Ask important questions.

Sample questions you might ask:

  • What conditions do specialize or focus on?
  • What techniques do you use and why?
  • Do you use traditional chiropractic? (most common turn, twist & you will hear the poppling noise)
  • What additional techniques do you use?
  • Do you use instruments?
  • How often do you recommend physical therapy?
  • Do you give exercises to help me get better faster?
  • What do you know about cold laser therapy?
  • Do you incorporate massage, trigger point therapy or other muscle techniques?
  • Do they provide nutrition guidance that willl speed up my recovery and expand your wellness?

Ask the right money questions.

Insurance coverage questions for chiropractic never came up in the past.

People paid cash for chiropractic care without any question.

Now “Do you take insurance?” is a common question.

Know your body doesn’t have a clue what insurance is. Your body just knows it needs help.

Hesitating on the financial health investment? Your best chiropractor has multiple financial options. Chiropractors are dedicated to you feeling your very best.

Ask what you options for payment is. Do they take cash, checks, credit cards and/or HSA (Health Savings Account) cards?

Interview several chiropractors.

Congratulations! At the end of several interview you have found your great chiropractor!

You clearly have chosen chiropractic as a valuable way to address your foot pain symptoms, neck pain, knee pain, hip pain, shoulder pain or many other possible chronic pain patterns naturally. Great job!

Your final step is to schedule your new patient visit. Every office is different. Life Reset Chiropractic’s first new patient appointment lasts one hour.

Get ready to receive a detailed neuromuscular examination and your first adjustment. All there is to do now is enjoy your new well-adjusted body!

Bottom foot pain – Loveland CO Chiropractor

bottom foot pain chiropractor, Loveland CO holistic chiropractor gentle adjustment, knee pain, leg pain, chiropractor foot pain, chiropractor gentle adjustmentWhy do I have bottom foot pain?

The feet and ankles are one of the most ignored and least appreciated areas of the body. It’s no fun when you start experiencing fasciitis, heel pain, bottom foot pain or calf muscle pain. There are so many natural effective gentle ways to reverse your foot pain symptoms.

Feet and ankles are not commonly adjusted by chiropractors. Dr. Debbie Thompson at Life Reset Chiropractic in Loveland, CO focuses on the feet and legs as the foundation of the body mechanics and function. Dr. Debbie checks your feet, ankles, knees and hips when there is a need to adjust them.

You walk about 4 miles every day.

We stand on our feet, we walk on those same feet and then we try to stick them in a pair of shoes that are too tight and confining and wonder why we have foot pain at the end of our day. The average person walks about 4 miles every day or about 115,000 miles in a lifetime. In a typical day, the feet endure a cumulative force of several hundred tons. High performance athletes add to that mileage with high impact running and jumping.

There are multiple reasons why people get bottom foot pain.

If you are an athlete you may think your feet need less attention because of the great shape you are in. It’s the exact opposite. The more activities your feet are being used the more stress they receive.

Hiking, biking, walking, running or climbing are just some of the ways your athletic activity stresses your feet. Chiropractic adjustments to toes, feet, ankles, knees and hips will give you your very best function and performance.

I don’t know about you, but I especially like to be active in my pain-free body. If I have sore feet, bottom of the foot pain, ankle pain, knee pain or hip pain I don’t enjoy my hike as much. How about you?

There are 360 total joints in the human body:

  • Skull joints: 86
  • Throat joints: 6
  • Thorax joints: 66
  • Spine & pelvis joints: 76
  • Upper limbs (extremities): 32 x 2 = 64
  • Lower limbs (extremities): 31 x 2= 62

Every joint joint is assigned to specific muscles to create movement.

The muscles and joints in the foot and ankle love to move freely. When normal physiological movement is lost you can feel bottom foot pain and ankle pain. Twenty muscles in the foot and ankle are responsible for all multiple movements; standing, walking, running, dancing, kicking, hiking, biking, chasing after the kids, working. These muscles work all day long in your feet and can get overused and tired. What’s can happen next? Foot pain symptoms and ankle pain can show up from being used so much. You might even end up with spasms in your feet which again give you foot pain, ankle pain and many times leg pain is part of the picture also.

There are multiple reasons why people get foot pain and ankle pain. Dr. Debbie Thompson at Life Reset Chiropractic shares the 4 most common reasons that show up in her office:

  1. Subluxations/Poor Nerve Supply
  2. Poor Foot Mechanics
  3. Old Injuries/Scar Tissue
  4. Unbalanced/Spasmed Leg Muscles

Dr. Thompson discusses each of these 4 most common reasons for bottom foot pain and foot pain symptoms in additional articles.

Dehydration Symptoms

athletic performance, physical therapy, nutrition, Loveland CO female holistic chiropractor, knee pain, foot problemsWater is a major component of the human body. Water is used in EVERY chemical reaction in your body. In other words, you have trillions of cells in your body that are going through cellular chemical reactions all day long. Water is critical to complete those chemical reactions. Your body is composed of 65-85 percent water (depending on body size).

How much waterDrink 1/2 your current body weight in ounces to maintain good health. Example: 180 pound person = 90 ounces of water. Increase your water intake with working in the heat and increased physical activities.

Too much water? Here is a word of caution. If your body is not used to drinking water, start adding water slowly until you reach your adequate amount. Haven’t been drinking any water? Start with 8 ounces/day for 3 days. On day 4 add another 8 ounce glass of water. Keep adding slowly until you reach your body’s requirements.

The importance of water: My best answer for this question is based on the book, “Your Body’s Many Cries For Water” by F. Batmanghelidj MD. He found that dehydration was the primary cause of pain and dysfunction in the human body. His astounding basic breakthrough was made while he was confined to a Tehran prison, this being a unique circumstance in itself.

Water is a better medication than anything the drug industry has to offer. F. Batmanghelidj MD

During Dr. Batmanghelidj’s imprisonment with 3000 others, he was called upon multiple times to help someone in need of medical attention. He had no access to drugs or medications. Dr. Batmanghelidj did not have access to any other medical resources. Each time someone had a physical complaint the only thing he had to give them was water. Just some of the conditions he worked with were: body pains, back pain, muscle spasms, natural joint pain relief, migraine headaches, asthma, allergies, hypertension, excess body weight and emotional conditions like depression. He speaks about “back problems” and how important he now see water to re-hydrate the discs between each vertebrae of the body. The discs in the spine support 80% of your body weight and they consist of 80% water. Multiple back pains disappeared after administering water as treatment.

Medications are palliatives. They are not designed to cure the degenerative diseases of the human body. F. Batmanghelidj MD

So is water important for your Wellness Lifestyle? I’m sure you know the answer quite clearly now.

Can I drink coffee or tea instead of water? Dr. Andrew Weil’s short answer to this is “No”. The reason why is that coffees and teas act as diurectics. In other words they cause your body to excrete more water than normal.

“To get 2 cups of water from coffee or tea you have to to drink 3 cups of the coffee or tea. Dr. Andrew Weil

That create an unreasonable amount of coffees or teas by the end of your day. BEST CHOICE: Drink pure filtered unadulterated water to meet you water requirements.

What about flavored colored water? Flavored water has became a popular item on the market with increased water awareness/intake. Each of these companies have the right ideas. Here are the markets they are speaking to:

People who do not like water: The more pure unadulterated water you drink that more you will crave it. An easy fix is a squeeze of lime or lemon juice with a few drops of Stevia.

People who think that it’s cooler to have ‘Kool-Aid’ looking water: Okay, I can’t argue with you on this one. I like colors and fun things also. Be sure to check your fun colored water to make sure it’s in your best interest.

People who know most filtered water doesn’t work well in the body: When water is stripped of all minerals and nutrients it loses its capacity to cross the cell membrane effectively. You can drink this kind of water all day and still be dehydrated. All of your water will hangout around the cells, but not get into where the cellular functions need water. SOLUTION? Use Cell Power, drops a few grains of Celtic Sea Salt into your water or use mineral drops.

I like drinking water, but I was truly excited to hear about the new colored waters. When I started to do my personal research I was disappointed in what I found. Things to pay attention to when purchasing colored water:

  1. No artificial colors or dyes
  2. No artificial flavorings
  3. Check for heavy metals (i.e. blue lake = aluminum)
  4. Are you really getting/absorbing the vitamins? Questionable.
  5. Check calorie level

The way that vitaminwater is marketed and positioned it’s made to look more healthful than other sugary beverages, but it’s not – it’s still just a soft drink. It has this aura of healthfulness that is not deserved. Adding vitamins and minerals to junk food doesn’t make it healthy. Margo G. Wootan, Director of Nutrition Policy at the Center for Science in the Public Interest.

Rather than buy ‘expensive colored water’ create your own at home. Know and trust what you are drinking.

ONE BETTER CHOICE with the same idea: Melaleuca’s “Sustain” – Performance hydration drink that contains electrolytes. Flavors: Raspberry Lemonade, Lemon Blast, Ruby Red Grapefruit (my favorite!) 30 calories with no artificial ingredients/colors/dyes

The other ways water plays a critical role is in the following: body detox, energy levels, mental clarity, circulation, metabolism, body temperature, aids weight loss, brain function, joint function, kidney function, mood improvements and digestion just to name a few.
